Skiers and Snowboarders should expect epic powder conditions though the new year.The riding is incredible. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort recently opened it’s new 100 passenger tram. What makes for difficult travel on the roads, turns into sheer blis in the mountains. More pacific storm flows are expected through the holidays. Teton Pass was closed this morning for avalanche reduction work as an early season weak snowpack layer poses problems for avalanche safety workers and road crews. A strong Pacific storm has been pounding Western Wyoming for the past three days. Winter storm warning and advisories remain in effect through 5 p.m. Here, Steve Jones supplies his wants to himself.Īfter a slow start to the winter 2008/2009 season, winter has finally showed up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. When we made The Continuum we used the tagline, “He chose to be rich by making his wants few and supplying them himself. I am always hesitant riding to hit the line below the chair, but I love watching it. Here we were riding up Thunder lift and watching this guy get completly submerged in snow. In Jackson Hole the snowplows are bigger than normal.
There are lots of things that you do and see that tell you it is going to be a big day. A typical Powder day brings lots of routine. Powder days are some of the best days of our lives.
